Go and make disciples of all nations

The Mission of St. Francis of Assisi Parish is go and make disciples of all nations by welcoming everyone seeking Jesus Christ and by generously providing an opportunity to worship, learn, obtain support, and grow spiritually through all stages of life.

Family Food Bags

In partnership with the Belleville School District breakfast & lunch program, St. Francis of Assisi, Grace United Methodist, and First United Church of Christ have joined together to help feed those who need a little extra help right now. All 3 churches will be accepting monetary donations to be used to purchase food items in bulk. Food will be distributed to identified families in the Belleville School District with school age children once a week or every other week, as funds are available. If you would like to contribute, make a check payable to one of the 3 churches – St. Francis Parish, Grace UMC, or First  UCC – and in the memo line indicate “Family Foods Bags.” The addresses for the churches are: St Francis PO Box 349, Grace UMC PO Box 19, and First UCC PO Box 380.  Thank you!

Announcement from Pope Francis

Pope Francis has invited all Christians to join in the Lord’s Prayer at noon on March 25 to create a wave of prayer around the world in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

“In these days of trial, as humanity trembles in the threat of the (coronavirus) pandemic, I would propose that all Christians join their voices together to heaven.

I invite the heads of the churches and the leaders of all the Christian communities, together with all Christians of the various confessions, to invoke the Almighty, the All Powerful God, by reciting contemporaneously the prayer that Our Lord Jesus has taught us.
